The Project

Medicine told the way it actually lives and breathes

The Floor Chicago is a first-of-its-kind AI-generated cinematic medical drama series created by Dr. Keven Stonewall, a practicing Family Medicine physician from the Southside of Chicago. Using generative AI video technology, The Floor visualizes the human moments that define medicine. The physician-patient bond, health equity, racial bias in diagnosis, and the emotional reality of what happens on both sides of the exam room door.

Each episode is rooted in real medical moments and tied directly to cultural events happening in Chicago, from the Super Bowl to Valentine's Day to the retirement of Derrick Rose's jersey, grounding every story in the city and community it was built for.

Season 1 is a complete body of work. Twelve episodes. One city. One foundation.

"The most powerful diagnostic tool a physician has isn't a machine. It's the relationship with the patient sitting across from them."

Season 1

Twelve episodes.
Twelve stories.

Every episode of The Floor is inspired by real medical moments and set against the culture and heartbeat of Chicago. Each one was designed to be felt as much as watched.

Episode 01

The Floor Chicago Edition

The introduction. A physician walks the hallways of a Chicago hospital. Medicine as it really is.

Episode 02

Thanksgiving

A patient spends the holiday alone in a hospital room. A doctor who doesn't want him to eat alone. The weight of the holidays inside medicine.

Episode 03

Beyond the Skin

A fever. A painful leg. Warning signs that didn't look like the textbook on darker skin. Necrotizing fasciitis. Every second mattered.

Episode 04

Bear Down

The Bears just beat the Packers. December. The city is celebrating. A patient arrives at the ER with acute pancreatitis. Chicago never stops for anything. Neither does medicine.

Episode 05

Gut Reaction

A patient who refused a colonoscopy. A physician who listened. A compromise that saved a life. Colorectal cancer caught in time.

Episode 06

The Kissing Bug

A sore throat. Amoxicillin prescribed. The rash told a different story. Some diagnoses don't announce themselves. They wait for the wrong move.

Episode 07

Above the Noise

A jersey rises. A city remembers. A patient sits on the edge of the bed with knee pain he's been ignoring. Legacy doesn't live in highlights. It lives in resilience.

Episode 08

Listen

She said something was wrong. She wasn't hysterical. She wasn't dramatic. She was right. A postpartum pulmonary embolism caught because one physician decided to listen.

Episode 09

Sweet Tooth

The thirst didn't make sense. Neither did the exhaustion. Blood sugar in the 700s. Diabetic ketoacidosis. A Type 1 diabetes diagnosis nobody saw coming.

Episode 10

Listen (Super Bowl)

Super Bowl Sunday. Everyone watching. Someone eating buffalo wings feeling what he thinks is heartburn. Heart attacks don't always interrupt life. Sometimes they hide inside it.

Episode 11

Happy Heart Syndrome

Valentine's Day. Good news arrives. Laughter. Tears. Then the chest tightens. Takotsubo cardiomyopathy. The same chemistry as grief, triggered by joy. Even happiness has weight.

Episode 12

Career Day

The season finale. A physician walks back into his Southside Chicago elementary school. Not to talk about medicine. To be seen. "You really a doctor?" That question carries weight.

Dr. Keven Stonewall is a practicing Family Medicine physician from the Southside of Chicago, a TEDx speaker, and the creator of The Floor Chicago. He built Season 1 independently, using generative AI video technology to visualize the stories medicine has been carrying quietly for decades.

The privilege of being a physician is that healing was never just one thing. It's showing up as a healer, an advocate, and a teacher all at once. The Floor is all three.

As for how many seasons: as many as medicine keeps giving stories worth telling. And trust me. It never runs out of stories.
